Prior to the start of any industrial construction project Tellepsen Industrial works closely with clients to create a Project Work Plan that optimizes project value. We form a partnership with clients to facilitate project execution in a timely fashion with minimal disruption to facility operations.

Tellepsen Industrial’s construction project planning and scheduling provides a seamless roadmap from construction to turnover. The construction project planning addresses safety management, design management, cost management, schedule management and quality management.

We believe the single most important factor in reducing risk – and therefore, costs – in projects is transparent communications between all parties. Our preconstruction services provide a clear rendering of risk and reward, shared risk and benefit, and eliminate adversarial roles.

Tellepsen Industrial’s construction project planning team collaborates with clients on every project to identify any critical issues to success and to establish common goals. Working together, responsibilities with corresponding due dates are established to maintain accountability, encourage team interaction and to provide a tracking tool that can instantaneously provide a project snapshot of progress to date. During the planning phase of industrial construction projects our team adheres to the following activities:

Project plans and specifications are reviewed with the construction manager, engineers and key subcontractors. All systems are reviewed for sustainability, economics, durability and practicality. Potential issues and challenges are reviewed, and decisions are made as to what action will be taken.

Sustainability reviews are performed to achieve the “best value” with materials and equipment based on life-cycle costs, efficiency, maintenance costs and compatibility with the clients’ existing programs and usage requirements.

Long lead time materials and equipment are identified, and recommendations are made for the early procurement of critical items.

Milestone completion dates are established for each identified work activity to ensure accurate tracking and project success. The schedule and phasing of all construction activities is approved in advance. Project milestones are used to create a master project schedule that is then reviewed in weekly Tellepsen Industrial meetings to keep the project on-track.
